Plans for the summer

Players asked us a lot of questions about the development of our server in the summer time. I’ll try to tell about our plans in this thread. I’m not going to take vacation, we will work without a break, to add lots of “tasty things” till the main autumn-winter period. TBC:
The development continues in a usual schedule. As for global changes – maybe we’ll try to run path finding during the next month.
WotLK:
At the beginning of May our WotLK developer – Ramusik, disappeared and that’s why he was fired 1,5 moths later. Because of this – we don’t have anybody for developing the Lich King now.
There will be no serious updates till august, or until we find the new developer or Ramusic comes back.
Nevertheless we can fix the critical bugs and we are going to update the anticheat signature database till the end of June. A lot of new cheats appeared during the last year, and our anticheat
wasn’t updated.
We don’t forget about the Cross system for PvP, but it should be first established on Cataslysm, and only after that we can talk about the LK. That’s why the new arena season (with normal rewards and control) may start in June, before the Cross-bg/arena system.
Path finding is being also tested.
Cataclysm:
This week the 22-nd updatepack will be released, and the rating battlegrounds and Tol Barad will be available. After this update there will be no serious changes, because Pelf will develop the PvE content of Pandaria.
There will be only critical bug and exploit fixes, and crush fixes in this period.
The x10 and x25 realms will be combined. I’m going to start the DB combination test this week.
And as on the WotLK realms – the new arena season may start before the cross, because we have no time for Cross PvP development because of the MoP development.
Mists of Pandaria:
On this weekend we start Closed Beta Test of 5.4.7. The thread for those, who want to test the content will be created on Saturday. We well choose 30 players, that were active in the bug tracker.
The CBT will last for a week, and after solving the most critical bugs we’ll start the OBT. How long the OBT will last depends on the amount of bugs and problems, but we plan to finish it in a week.
After the OBT we’ll open the x1 realm. If there will be no much critical bugs – it will be opened by the end of June or the beginning of July. The more accurate date will be known after some days of OBT.
Other plans:
Besides the changes on the realms, we plan to finish the development of the English support and launch the transfer from other servers in June-July. The website and the control panel will be also changed, the stream section and the news will change. The manual transfer among the realms and different discounts for the summertime will appear in the control panel.
