This is not the first time when I create this thread, it may become a tradition, I wish you all Happy New 2021 Year and all the upcoming holidays.Starting with 2020 highlights:
- Five years passed and we again took measures for economics stabilization at 3.3.5a realms, it went well for someone and disappointed the others, but this action meant well.
- Updated Wotlk black market range (I think we will do this once more in the neares time).
- We have done numerous changes in our control panel, to increase service quality and comfort, account safety and some new features.
- New arena season started at Wotlk with the grand tournament (it is waiting for you soon).
- We relaunched 4.3.4 Fun, that allowed us to try holding a season and a tournament like at wotlk realms. Besides you can transfer your characters from the old 4.3.4 Fun to the new one, more information there.
- 4.3.4 x100 time finished, we enabled character transfer to 4.3.4 x5 (transfer already closed).
- We launched mythic mode for some dungeons at 4.3.4 x5 and 3.3.5a x5/x100, to vary the pve content, it was launched long time ago and already improved for cataclysm and just added for wotlk and is in development.
- Rated battlegrounds came to wotlk, with its seasons and rewards.
- Implemented cross server duel zones + FFA zone at wotlk, that are still improved.
- Implemented quick start feature for 4.3.4 x5 realm (available till 07.01.21).
- Also a change of no little interest is launching our proxy servers for realms, according to statistics this feature is widely used because routes from many providers to Europe are not so good. Also direct connection is now not so direct and is a net of numerous proxy servers inside our data center, this is firstly a ddos attack protection, but can also help with ping considering different routes to every IP (you get a random address when entering the game directly).
- Four new developers joined our project, that allowed to improve fixing quality and speed.
- We finished cooperation with Logon3, they are now a separate project.
- Announced Wotlk 3.3.5a x1 launch.
These are the changes of this year, that can be called positive and important, but I also want to underline some trivial events / changes:
- We released six major updates for wotlk, like during the previous year, but amount of fixes increased in 3 times and is rated at more than 3000 fixes of various bugs. We managed to perform this due to dev team increase and active preparation of x1 launch.
- We released six major updates for cataclysm, fixing more than 2500 various bugs. We keep things going.
- We released four major updates for Legion, fixing more than 1000 various bugs. We are slower than with wotlk and cataclysm, but we promise to catch up during 2021.
- General online (peak and average) of a project stayed the same (considering quarantine), after that we expectedly lost some players, some realms dropped strongly, others just a bit, separating logon3 also had an influence, but launch of wotlk x1 and MoP x5 in February with our partners, we hope to return the number of 40000-50000 peak online.
- More than 250.000 new accounts have been registered at logon and more than 60.000 at legion during the last year.
We manage to leave 2020 without serious issues and fails, second part of a year was more intense with its mods and fixes.
Plans for 2021 are rather global (as usual), I highlighted part of them during the latest interview, but will list the highlights, one by one:
- We will continue working to fix bugs at all the available expansions, will do our best to increase temp at legion (reasons can be found below), will keep the level at wotlk and cataclysm,
- Besides fixing bugs we will proceed with custom mods to increase players interest considering your offersand our vision of development path, just want to underline that we see the difference between interesting custom and mods affecting balance in pvp and pve, we will never use.
- Control panel will be improved, not so much left to implement from what was planned, and I think we will make a thread to propose your ideas.
- Want to give a separate paragraph for our new realms plans:
* In 2021 - beginning of 2022 we do not plan opening low rate realms, all of them will be with mid (x10-x30) and high (x50-x100) rates, because there are enough realms with low (x1-x5) rates.
* As for the expansions, here is the priority: 1) Legion, 2) Cataclysm, 3) BFA, 4) BC. This does not mean we will launch 4 new realms, but 1-2 of this list will be launched, 100% one is Legion fresh, active development of which will be started in the nearest months.
These are all the plans for the neares year, something will be surely added but I can not tell you now (let it be an intrigue).
